The Tallest Man on Earth is the new, uncrowned king of open tunings and fingerpicking. His technique is exquisite, but his songs are actually not overly difficult to play, once one masters the basic picking patterns.
Capo 8th fret (sounding key Eb minor)
Open G minor (D-G-d-g-bb-d’ = D57533)
It hardly makes sense to give these chords exact names, but the shapes are clear enough:
Gm x05300 or x00000 F' x03201 Ebmaj7 101003 or 101000 F 303200 Bb x30300 Em7-5 202000
The shapes with finges at the same fret on strings 4 and 6 should be played with the ring and long finger, even though this may seem awkward for the Ebmaj7 chord. It pays off, though, since the index finger is then ready to step into action in the F shape.
