That Old Black Magic

Dm7-5 and Fm6 are basically the same chord, so the sequence Dm–Fm6 is perhaps better (and definitely simpler) played x57565 – x5656x or xx0231–xx0111.

If you want the downward glissando effect for the Dm7-5 chords, start with one of the versions higher up on the fretboard.

The intro riff goes something like this:

   C/e                 Dm/f
   :   .   .   .   x6  :   .   .   .
||-----------------||-------------------||
||*------------1--*||*-------------3---*||
||-------0---------||--------2----------||
||-1h2-------------||--3----------------||
||*---------------*||*-----------------*||
||-----------------||-------------------||

Or rather:

   C/e                 Dm/f
   :   .   .   .   x6  :   .   .   .
||-----------------||-------------------||
||-----------------||-------------------||
||*------------5--*||*-------------7---*||
||-------5---------||--------7----------||
||-6h7-------------||--8----------------||
||*---------------*||*-----------------*||
||-----------------||-------------------||

I’ve included a different version as well, in E major, which is possibly both easier and more interesting to play.
